Upper School History
B.A., History, Smith College
Melissa, a trained historian of education and gender, teaches history in the Upper School and joined Westridge in 2017. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota where she has been a part of the history department since 2010, most recently teaching Studies in 20th Century Europe and History of the Holocaust. She has also worked as a tutor and academic coach for high school students and as a scorer for the AP History exam. Melissa earned her undergraduate degree in history from Smith College and was a Fulbright Scholar, studying at Humboldt University in Berlin.
