6th Grade Language Arts/Social Science and 7th Grade Human Development Teacher
B.S., Music, Indiana State University
With a 20-plus year career in education spanning teaching and administration, Christine has taught 3rd through 8th grade humanities, as well as service learning and social justice courses. Previously a middle school academic dean and assistant head of school at local independent schools, she joined Westridge in 2011. She was named the 2016-2017 Westridge Research Initiative fellow, looking into the role that mindfulness can play in creating a culture of reflective learning and is currently working toward a credential with Mindful Schools. Christine has written articles for various education publications on curriculum and service learning. Prior to teaching she had a career in music, and she is learning the art of clown and beekeeping with her best friend, partner, and fellow Westridge faculty member John Cross.
