5th Grade Girl Squad Collects Donations for LA County Toy Loan Program
Posted 11/01/2019 05:13PM

Kudos to the 5th grade "Girl Squad" for collecting a truck full of new and gently used toys from our community for the LA County Toy Loan Program, the nation's largest toy-lending library (serving 30,000 children each year across 50 community centers). They spent an afternoon on campus last week preparing hundreds of donated toys to be given to kids in need. At the event, they met with Monica Banken, children & social services deputy to LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, who came to speak to our students about the Toy Loan Program run by her office, and how the supervisor works to support families in her district. We're so proud of these awesome young people already leading lives of impact!
