Phoebe J. '21 Wins Best in California Prize for Short Film "Escaping The Poverty Cycle: Female Beauty Standards in the Workplace" 

Phoebe J. '21 won the Best in State prize for the best video in the World of 7 Billion video contest. World of 7 Billion is an organization that aims to educate young people on sustainability, population trends, and the environment. Phoebe's video "Escaping The Poverty Cycle: Female Beauty Standards in the Workplace" was submitted as part of an assignment in Tina Singh's Environmental Engineering class. Click here to watch the video. 

Julia C. '20 Wins Second Place in the Pasadena Water and Power Essay Scholarship Contest 

Congratulations to Julia C. '20 who won second-place in the Pasadena Water and Power Essay Contest for her essay about marine biologist Dr. Ayana Johnson and her inspiring work founding the Ocean Collectiv. Julia will receive a $2,500 scholarship for her accomplishment. Click here to read her winning essay.
